Illegal Immigrants Should Be Allowed For Deportation

On Tuesday president Trump called an end to the Obama program â€Å"DACA† and urges Congress to make a replacement before he begins removing the rights and the protection of â€Å"DACA† will end in six months. This means if congress doesn’t make a replacement then they will all be deported back to their home country. In March as many as 800 thousand people brought to the United States illegally as children will be eligible for deportation. The five-year-old policy allows them to remain without immediate deportation from the country and gives them the ability to work. For example Ms. Ramirez, 28, is one of the originals of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, (DACA). The program, whose fate is now up in the air, has allowed nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children to work and study here for two-year renewable terms. United We Dream, a national organization that advocates on behalf of undocumented immigrants, known as Dreamers. During Trumps campaign, the president promised to rescind DACA as soon as he took office, but since then he has issued mixed messages. The Washington Post reported on Thursday that administration officials had met this week to discuss DACA and that a decision on its future may be imminent depending on congresses decision. If Trump decides to end the successful DACA program, it would signal that he has decided to follow the advice of the more extremist voices in the White House and appeal to the white supremacists in his base rather than to courageously lead. Congress delivered an ultimatum to Jeff Session s, demanding that he rescind the 2012 memorandum signed by President Obama that created DACA. They further demanded that he phase out the program by not renewing or issuing any new permits.
